From the pastor

2 January 2026 — BELOVED FAITHFUL — Once again a new year has begun, with its blessings and the grace that God will bestow upon us, His people, but also a year with all its uncertainties and challenges.

In the midst of the reflective Christmas season, the turning of the year makes us realize these realities time and again: that we cannot face the new year on our own. We need God’s sustaining help, and also the support of one another.

In our parish we always begin the new year with the Actie Kerkbalans (the annual Church Support Campaign). This year as well, we are in great need of your support, and especially of God’s help, in order to face the serious problems with which we, as the parish council, were confronted in the autumn, namely the very poor condition of the load-bearing structure in the upper levels of the church tower.

We therefore call upon our patron saints, Saint Agnes and Saint Joseph, to intercede for us, so that this church, in which we are permitted to serve God, may be a radiant house for Him, and so that we, who have taken upon ourselves the care of His house on earth, may be worthy servants of Him.

I also gladly invite you to our New Year’s reception, with the traditional auction of fine and less fine goods.

I wish you a healthy and blessed New Year, in the hope that the year ahead may serve your sanctification and growth in love for God and His holy Church.

✠ With my priestly blessing,
Father M. Kromann Knudsen, Pastor
