14 June 2026 — Today we celebrated the twentieth anniversary of Fr Knudsen’s priestly ordination. Following the High Mass, we prayed together the prayers of the Confraternity of the Priestly Fraternity for priests and bishops before the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes. Afterwards, a festive gathering took place in the square before the church.
On this occasion, Fr Knudsen was presented with a special gift: a gilded silver chalice and paten in the Neo-Gothic style.
Fr Knudsen wrote the following message of thanks:
The chalice and paten presented to me on the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of my priestly ordination will remain a lasting reminder of your kindness, prayers and support.
This gilded silver chalice and paten were made in the Netherlands in the nineteenth century, around 1875, in the Neo-Gothic style. The chalice is adorned with enamel work and silver figures of saints, including St Anthony and St Nicholas, both visible in the photographs, as well as St Peter, St Paul and St Vincent. The photographs give some impression of the care and craftsmanship with which this gift was made.
On the base are representations of the Four Evangelists, the pelican as an ancient Christian symbol of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament, and the Lamb of the Apocalypse.
I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all who contributed to this beautiful jubilee gift.
✠ With my priestly blessing,
Fr Martin Kromann Knudsen, FSSP
